Welcome

Link Us Up!
THE WOODIES are an old school rock 'n roll band who pays homage to an era of rock 'n roll that existed for about a decade-from '67 through '76. The post-WHITE ALBUM pre-disco era, or as the bands bassist (and namesake), "Woody," would say, "The golden age of feedback and distortion." Led by Americana artist, Steve Yanek, whose 2022 release, "Long Overdue," reached No.1 on two national Roots Music Charts for two consecutive weeks in October, as well as receiving airplay on over 100 stations in the US, Europe and the UK.
Joining Steve, who handles the vocals, guitar & keyboards, are Don "Woody" Farner on bass & attitude, Nick Dellarciprete on drums & vocals, and newcomer Tony "Pep" Pepoli on guitar & vocals). Not to be pigeon-holed as just another "classic rock" band, they play cover songs from all the other decades of rock 'n roll, as well as a nice blend of original songs, trying to keep the vibe alive.
Coming off of an extended hiatus and reforming in early 2020 with Tony Pepoli the band had started looking into booking some club dates when the lockdown went into effect. Now that the pandemic is easing up, the band is back on track again and looking to book shows for 2023. Several new covers and a couple rockin' original songs have been added to their extensive collection of old favorites. And, as always, The Woodies are still threatening to go back into the studio and finish an album of original music that they began recording when the band was formed in the fall of 2007 - so, we'll see about that!
In the meantime you can listen to a handful of their live tracks and get a feel for what the band can do.
